• Immigration ServicesIn 2005 New Zealand welcomed a new family to Auckland’s North Shore. Arriving in the land of the long white cloud from the UK, Doreen Bennett was looking forward to starting a new life in Aotearoa.
Doreen brought 15 years of recruitment experience with her having first started her career in South Africa and then moving to England. Being a migrant herself and working in the recruitment industry for many years, Doreen put her skills to good use in New Zealand by specialising in recruiting skilled migrants. She spent the next 4 years matching skilled migrants with employers in New Zealand who found themselves with a skills shortage. As part of the recruitment package, she additionally offered immigration advice. When immigration licensing became law in 2009, Doreen already had a good working knowledge of visa application processes and how Immigration New Zealand operated. After a lot of hard work and many hours of study, Doreen obtained her full immigration adviser’s license. This quickly led her to start her own immigration advisory business and she has been helping immigrants to New Zealand ever since.
At some point along this journey, Doreen met Tim Rixon, another UK import. Tim arrived in New Zealand from the UK in 2000 and has been happily occupying the North Shore ever since. Tim’s career has developed along an interesting pathway from being a teacher in the UK before moving into computer programming and eventually becoming a project manager for large IT projects. He began taking an interest in the intricacies of immigration matters when he began contracting for Doreen’s immigration business in 2012. From there, his interest progressed and he gained his immigration adviser’s license in 2017.
What sets Tim and Doreen apart from everyone else are their ethics, their honesty, and their genuine concern for their clients. As possibly some of the most determined licensed immigration advisers out there, they fight harder for their clients than most others. With a natural empathy for others finely tuned by their own experiences as immigrants navigating the perils of starting a new life in a foreign land, Tim and Doreen understand what it feels like to be in that position. Now working from a home-based office in Browns Bay, they aim to help others successfully navigate their journey to New Zealand. You don’t have to just take our word on that though, you can take the word of some of the clients in the testimonials section on the website and see what they have to say about their experiences. Immigrating is one of the most stressful things you can do. Leaving your old, familiar life behind to start again in a new place can be massively challenging and stress can come at you from many angles. One of the most difficult of these challenges can be the visa application process. Immigration laws and policies are complicated, and rarely as straightforward as they first seem. Having an experienced licensed immigration adviser working for you can take a lot of pressure off, allowing you more head-space to deal with the other challenges of immigrating. These challenges are something that everyone at NZimmigration.net understands from first-hand experience because we’re all migrants ourselves.
